May 2007: Southern Chapter Revitalization Update
At the April Meet and Greet, an interim steering commitee was selected, and a date and location was selected to have an initial southern chapter organizational meeting.
Southern Chapter Organizational meeting details:
When: Thursday, May 10 at 6pmAt the meeting we will discuss plans for area EYH conferences, discuss what we'd like to see southern chapter become, and vote on the chapter officers. Anyone with an interest in the southern chapter revitalization is welcome to join us.

We have tentatively decided to hold two area EYH conferences (in additional to the current Silver City EYH conference). One at White Sands Missile Range in the Fall (October/November) with a focus on grades 6-8, and another in the spring (February or April) at New Mexico State University with a focus on grades 9-12. This is why we have two interim VP's - one to help at each location.
