The Network, in cooperation with the New Mexico Commission on the Status of Women, in 2007 embarked upon a new means to recognize the contributions of women in New Mexico. This fall, the 4th Annual New Mexico Network for Women in Science and Engineering IMPACT! Award will be presented to a New Mexico woman for her extraordinary efforts in furthering the goals of the Network:

to encourage women to enter into and develop their careers in
science, engineering, and allied professions.

The honoree will be recognized during the Networks' Annual Meeting and Technical Symposium, usually held in October.

Draft forms below may be used noting changes:
    2011 nomination fee reduced to $10.
    2011 forms should be mailed to the NMNWSE PO Box, not the NM Commission on Women.

2010 NMNWSE Annual Meeting Information

For the purposes of this award, science and engineering are defined to include mathematics and all engineering fields as well as the physical, biological, behavioral, medical, and social sciences, and related technical and non-traditional fields.
Nominees do not need to be members of NMNWSE.
Nominations may be submitted by mail, dropped off at the Commission's Offices, or FAX-ed. Nomination packets for the 2010 Award must be received by the Commission by Friday, 24 September 2010 to be considered. Nomination packets received after the deadline will be considered for the 2011 Award.
FAX-ed nomination packets should be sent to the Commission's FAX at 505-222-6611, attention Ali. 
To be considered for the 2010 Award, the FAX-ed packet must be received by COB Friday, Sep 24, and hardcopies with nomination fee must follow by first class mail postmarked no later than Sat, Sep 25.
The 2010 award will be presented at the NMNWSE Annual meeting dinner on Saturday 9 Oct 2010, at the Lodge in the Valles Caldera Preserve - see the conference schedule and hotel webpages for more information on time and location. Nominees and nominators will be notified as to the winner in plenty of time to schedule attending.
